A: IronPort has a quarantine available at https://quarantine.caltel.com/

Q: Where are my custom settings?
A: You can change your filter level by logging in with your email address and password here: https://copper.caltel.com/spamfilter. One of IronPort's new spam filters is a sender reputation filter that does not need approved and blocked sender lists.

Q: Why am I getting more spam?
A: You may need to increase your filter level. Your filter lever determines how many spam messages you see and how many get through. If you have your filter set to 'LOW' you will see more spam getting through the filter than if it was set to 'HIGH'. You can change your filter settings by going to: https://copper.caltel.com/spamfilter.

Q: I set my filter to 'HIGH' but I am still getting lots of spam!
A: You may be receiving emails from a newsletter or opt-in mailing list from a reputable company. You should follow the directions at the bottom of that email to unsubscribe. If the company does not look reputable to you, please forward the email as an attachment to spam@caltel.com so we can look at it and advise you.

Q: I received this message that I think is spam. What do I do now?
A: Submit the message to us for examination using the instructions below on how to Report Spam.

Setup Spam Message Rule

Iron Port mail filter is one of the best units technology has to offer. One of the new features is called “Safe”. It scans your email and marks your spam with a [spam] subject and sends it to you.

You can log in to your Iron Port mail filter settings and change it now using https://copper.caltel.com/spamfilter/

The username is your email address and the password is your password. Once those are entered click OK.

Setting up your spam message rule will help filter the spam you receive from reaching your inbox; if you have opted to use our “Safe” feature.

Outlook Express

Right-click your inbox folder and left click new folder. Label the new folder spam. Click 'Ok'. Click on Tools at the top of your screen, go to 'Message Rules' and choose 'Mail'. Click the button that says 'New…', The new Mail window should appear Under section 1 put a check the box, “Where the subject line contains specific words.” In section 2, put a check in the box labelled 'Move it to the specified folder'. In section 3. Click the “contains specific words” link and add the word [spam] (make sure to include the brackets!) and click 'Add' then 'OK'. Click the “specified” link, choose your “spam” folder and click 'OK'. In section 4, change the name of the rule to spam. Click 'OK'. Report Spam

Spam MUST be forwarded in this fashion, or we will not be able to do anything at all with the message.

How To:

Identify the email, make sure it is not a mailing list you have subscribed to. If it is and you would like the email to stop try unsubscribing from it first. At the bottom of the suspected spam you have received you may find a link that has the option to unsubscribe you from their mailing list. If the email is infact spam, send the related spam to spam@caltel.com for further processing. It will need to be sent as an attachment.

Send as an Attachment Instructions:

Outlook Express: Open Outlook Express 6. Right-click the message that you want to submit, choose Forward As Attachment. Mozilla Thunderbird: Open Thunderbird. Select the message (message is highlighted) Then click Message → Forward As → “Attachment”.
