If you are having trouble getting to websites, you may need to tell your computer to remove or "flush" your DNS cache. Please follow the directions for your operating system:
Windows 2000 & Windows XP:
- Click on 'Start' then 'Run'
- In the 'Open' textbox, type: ipconfig /flushdns
- click 'OK'
Windows Vista:
- Click on the start button.
- In the 'Start Search' box at the bottom of the Start Menu, type: ipconfig /flushdns
- Press the 'Enter' key on your keyboard.
Apple Macintosh OSX 10.4:
- Open 'Terminal' located in 'Macintosh HD' > 'Applications' > 'Utilities'.
- In the terminal type lookupd -flushcache and press 'return'.
- Quit the terminal and close the finder.
Apple Macintosh OSX 10.5:
- Open 'Terminal' located in 'Macintosh HD' > 'Applications' > 'Utilities'.
- In the terminal type dscacheutil -flushcache and press 'return'.
- Quit the terminal and close the finder.
