Malware Scanning Level 2

Answer

Computers with severe infections will take more than 6 hours of scanning and require much more attention. They will typically require Windows updates and a whole different set up tools and scanners.  Malware advances every day and on many occasions in depth research is needed to remove specific threats from your computer.

Once a computer has reached this level of infection, it is not uncommon to come across something that is unable to be cleaned until there are new tools available.  If this is the case, there are 3 common options that can apply to you and we will go over with you what is best for your case:

  1. System Recovery.
  2. Leave system turned off and wait two weeks then re-scan.
  3. Install as much security as possile and hopefully the infection will not get worse

NOTICE:  This list is informational only.  DO NOT attempt to use these tools unless you UNDERSTAND exactly what you are doing.  Inproper use of these tools could result in an unstable operating system and require System Recovery.

  • Spybot Search and Destroy
  • Malware Bytes
