Recreating the Dial-up Connection

Answer

To recreate the dial-up connection, first you need to remove all non-functioning dial-up connections from your computer.  Follow these directions:

  1. Click on 'Start' and navigate to the 'Control Panel'.
  2. In the 'Control Panel', go to 'Internet Options'.
  3. In the 'Internet Properties' Window, click the tab at the top of the window labelled 'Connections'.
  4. In the 'Dial-up and Virtual Private Network settings' box, remove all non-working accounts.  To remove an account, select it with your mouse and then click on 'Remove...'.  Whe you are asked, "Are you sure you want to delete this Dial-Up Networking connection?" click 'OK'.
