==== Android Mail Setup ==== Android Mail is the default email app on Android smart phones. The Android Mail app comes preinstalled on Android smart phones and this tutorial works on Android KitKat (4.4-4.4.4). **CalTel recommends but does not support this software. Please contact the software developer if you experience problems.** \\ - Open your Android settings, go to the 'General' tab and select 'Accounts & sync':\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:droidmail01.png?200|}} - From the 'Accounts & sync' menu select 'Email':\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:droidmail02.png?200|}} - From the 'Email' menu select 'Email Settings':\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:droidmail03.png?200|}} - In the next email settings menu select 'Add account':\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:droidmail04.png?200|}} - Under 'Select email provider' select 'Other':\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:droidmail05.png?200|}} - Enter your full CalTel email address under 'Email address' and your CalTel email password under 'Password':\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:droidmail06.png?200|}} - It will look similar to this and then select 'Manual setup':\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:droidmail07.png?200|}} - Select 'POP3' from the 'Select account type' menu and then select 'Next':\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:droidmail08.png?200|}} - You will then be presented with the 'Incoming server settings':\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:droidmail09.png?200|}} - The 'POP3 server' is: pop3.caltel.com - The 'Security type' is: SSL - The 'Port number' is: 995 - The 'Username' is your full CalTel email address, for example: test@caltel.com - The 'Password' is your CalTel email password - After all the information is entered, it will look similar to this:\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:droidmail10.png?200|}} - Select 'Next' and you will be presented with the 'Outgoing server settings':\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:droidmail11.png?200|}} - The 'SMTP server' is: smtp.caltel.com - The 'Security type' is: TLS - The 'Port number' is: 587 - The 'Require sign-in' box should be checked - The 'Username' is your full CalTel email address, for example: test@caltel.com - The 'Password' is your CalTel email password - After all the information is entered, it will look similar to this:\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:droidmail12.png?200|}} - Select 'Next' and it will check the information entered:\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:droidmail13.png?200|}} - If everything checked out fine, you will be presented with the 'Setup completed' screen:\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:droidmail14.png?200|}} - Under 'Account name' you can name your account - Under 'Your name' you can set your display name for Android mail - Select 'Done' when you are finished and setup is now complete
