===== DSL Troubleshooting =====

When your DSL connection does not work, here are some things to try.  Please do not ever press the reset buttons on the back of your equipment and especially __**DO NOT PRESS THE RESET BUTTON ON THE BACK OF YOUR DSL MODEM!**__

  - First check to make sure other computers in your house can get online.  If you have other computers that are working on the DSL fine, skip step 2 and 3 and go to step 4.
  - Locate your DSL modem.  The DSL modem is usually manufactured by Best Data, Motorola, BEC or Diamond Multimedia or VisionNet.  It will be labelled on the modem somewhere.
  - Pull out the power plug on the back of the DSL modem.  All lights on the front of the DSL modem will go out.  Wait for at least 2 minutes before plugging it back in.  Wait 2 more minutes and then check if your DSL is working.
  - If step 3 didn't fix the problem, and you have additional equipment (routers, switches/hubs, access points, etc), unplug the power cord from these devices for 5 minutes before plugging them back in.
  - If step 4 didn't fix the problem, please call us.  **__Do not press the reset button on any equipment that you have__**.  We will need to do additional troubleshooting with you over the phone to determine the problem.
