==== K-9 Mail Setup ====
K-9 Mail is an Android EMail application for your smart phone.  This can be found in the [[https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fsck.k9|Google Play Store]] {{ :knowledge_base:setup:email:k9.qrcode.png?200nolink |}}

**CalTel recommends but does not support this 3rd party software.  Please contact the software developer if you experience problems.**

  - Open the software and agree to the license agreement by clicking 'Next':\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:k9mail:k9-step1.png?200|}}
  - You will be prompted to enter your email and password:\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:k9mail:k9-step2.png?200|}}
  - Enter your full caltel email address and password, then click 'Next':\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:k9mail:k9-step3.png?200|}}
  - Choose 'POP3' from the following list:\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:k9mail:k9-step4.png?200|}}
  - This is the next screen that you will be prompted with:\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:k9mail:k9-step5.png?200|}}
  - The 'Username' is your full email address, EX: example@caltel.com:
  - The 'Password' is your email address password:
  - The 'POP3 server' is "pop3.caltel.com":
  - The 'Security' is "SSL/TLS (always)":\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:k9mail:k9-step6.png?200|}}
  - The 'Authentication' is "plain":
  - The 'Port number' should be "995":
  - It should look like this when you are done:\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:k9mail:k9-step7.png?200|}}
  - Click 'Next', it will next check the settings:\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:k9mail:k9-step8.png?200|}}
  - You will next be presented with the outgoing mail server settings:\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:k9mail:k9-step9.png?200|}}
  - The 'SMTP server' is "smtp.caltel.com":
  - The 'Security' is "STARTTLS (always)":\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:k9mail:k9-step10.png?200|}}
  - The 'Port' number is "587":
  - The 'Authentication' is "Automatic":
  - The 'Username' is your full email address:
  - The password is your emails password:
  - It should look like this when it is done:\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:k9mail:k9-step11.png?200|}}
  - Hit the 'Next' button:
  - There is no need to make any changes on this screen:\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:k9mail:k9-step12.png?200|}}
  - This is the next screen you will see:\\ {{:knowledge_base:setup:email:k9mail:k9-step13.png?200|}}
  - Name your account, and type in your name:\\
  - You are now done!
